Images That Last

Welcome To Images That Last

Specialists in Photography Art and Photographic Greeting Cards

My name is Elisabeth Sephton and I would like to introduce you to ‘Images That Last’. I am an artist who has spent the last 40 years creating pictures through the medium of photography. During my years at Exeter College of Art (1978-81) I started off taking and developing black and white film, but soon progressed to using and printing colour film, spending hours in darkrooms.

I still use a Pentax SLR camera with a variety of lenses and although the camera is digital now, the basic image taking has not really changed. I draw my inspiration from the quality of light and richness of colour reflected in scenes or objects discovered during walks and explorations. Photography means ‘drawing with light’ and this is my life-long love.

Photographic Prints

These are professionally produced prints using colour-fast photographic dyes on quality papers (not ink jet). They are usually hand framed in a hardwood - usually oak or ash, with two conservation window mounts and a title and signature. They are limited editions of mostly, no more than 10.

Photographic Greeting Cards

A wide range of greeting cards are also produced - ranges include flora, fauna, landsapes/seascapes, cityscapes (mainly London), local scenes (East Kent), ‘details’, cards with words.

Elisabeth has a permanent exhibition space at the Seaward Gallery in Deal (Kent coast) alongside fellow artist Penny Bearman who creates oil paintings. The Gallery opening hours are 10am to 4pm every day and closed Thursdays.
